99% of our timber floors were laid today and all our cabinetry went in except the kitchen. I assume that will be done tomorrow. Floors are to be sanded and polished closer to handover.

ReplyDeleteThanks 😃 The laundry is a laminate top in New Ash Dust. The kitchen bench will be 20mm stone in Bianco Gentel and the bathrooms will be 20mm stone in Silver Star White. We 'downgraded' from 40mm to 20mm stone as I prefer the look of thinner stone.

DeleteSo you ordered in your own laminex, did you find that there wasn't a lot of selection with the kitchen? I'm excited about my kitchen but concerned it may end up costing me a fortune in upgrades :-/
ReplyDeleteI ordered my own doors and panels direct from Laminex for the kitchen only. I wanted a specific finish for the kitchen - Metallic CrystalGloss - and the cost I received through the builder to upgrade was through the roof. It cost me less than 1/3 to order the stuff direct from Laminex. I had the cabinetmaker provide me with the measurements required and then ordered it, paid Laminex for it, and had it delivered straight to his factory.
DeleteThanks, I may end up doing the same with some of our laminex as diamond gloss is an upgrade. I didnt think laminex would supply direct to a customer.

ReplyDeleteHamptons style (shaker style) is lovely! I'm not sure if Laminex will do this in house or whether it is something the cabinetmaker will have to put together for you. Ring Laminex and ask them :)
